What would happen if your definition of adventure meant cycling solo from one end of Britain to the other?

I did just that. A thousand mile one-way trip from Land’s End to John o’ Groats. Not as a honed athelete, you understand, but as a middle-aged, apprehensive, would-be adventurer.

From terrifying dual carriageway encounters, battering storms, and crippling loneliness, my story also captures moments of sheer joy, breathtaking landscapes, and forgotten histories. All whilst a cacophony of restless voices fought for prominence in my head.

Restless Lanes is my own personal love letter to this wondrous isle; a love fuelled by curiosity and exploration. An unbreakable connection to this island carved from blood, sweat, and fears.
